Breast Cancer

Commonest female cancer in India & Worldwide.

Fortunately, this can be treated very effectively now and the majority of patients are able to lead a normal life after treatment.

Breast cancer is often seen in family & need effective screening for early and timely detection.

Cervical Cancer

This Cancer spreads by poor genital hygiene and HPV infection.

This is common in Indian females and can be treated by radiation & Chemotherapy in majority of cases with excellent results. 
This cancer can now be prevented by using vaccine in young females.

Lung Cancer

While this is considered a dreadful disease, the modern treatment is quite effective that includes chemotherapy, radiation & targeted therapy.

A large no. of patients can now be treated effectively.

Brain Tumors

Both cancerous and non-cancerous brain tumors can be very effectively treated with surgery and radiation.

While extensive surgery is risky in certain locations of the brain, radiation as SRS can be delivered very safely in this situation without any complication.

Many brain tumors which are declared inoperable can be treated with radiation effectively on OPD basis.

Gastro-Intestinal Cancer

Cancer of esophagus (food pipe), stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, colon, rectum & anal canal can often be difficult to treat but the combination of surgery, radiation & chemotherapy is now bringing better results in modern times.

Timely treatment is the key in these cases.

Head & Neck Cancer

They are the commonest cancer in Indian males due to their habit of chewing tobacco, smoking & alcohol abuse.

These cancers can be treated fully at an early stage using surgery, radiation & chemotherapy with excellent results.

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is common among elderly males. Patients present with urinary frequency, urgency and other symptoms.

Like surgery radiation can also treat this disease very effectively but without any invasive/painfull procedure.

Excellent results are seen even in the advanced stages when radiation & hormonal treatment is used in combination.

Blood Cancer

Radiation has specific role in blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma & multiple myeloma.

There is a need to consult your radiation oncologist regarding this so that comprehensive management can be done on time.

Bone Cancer

Bone cancer refers to a type of cancer that starts in the bone tissue.

It can occur in any bone in the body, but most often affects the long bones in the arms and legs.

There are several types of bone cancer, including osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, and malignant fibrous histiocytoma.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common type of liver cancer, accounting for about 75% of all cases.

It usually arises from underlying liver disease, such as chronic viral hepatitis or cirrhosis, and typically develops over many years.

There are three main types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma.

Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are the most common types of skin cancer, while melanoma is less common but more dangerous.

Brain Metastases

Brain metastases are cancerous tumors that have spread to the brain from other parts of the body.

Most brain metastases occur when cancer cells break away from the primary tumor and travel through the bloodstream or lymphatic system to the brain.

The most common types of cancer that metastasize to the brain are lung, breast, colon, and melanoma.

Pediatric Cancer

AVMs can occur anywhere in the body but are most commonly found in the brain and spinal cord.

Superior Vena Cava Syndrome (SVC)

Superior Vena Cava Syndrome (SVC) is a condition that occurs when the superior vena cava, a large vein that carries deoxygenated blood from the upper body to the heart, becomes partially or completely blocked.

This can result in a range of symptoms and complications, depending on the severity and duration of the blockage.

Chemotherapy
